Germany’s Jewels on Rhine, Main and Neckar – Frankfurt, Heidelberg and Rüdesheim

Day 1: Arrival in Frankfurt
After your arrival, undertake a sightseeing tour of Frankfurt. See its historic district with Frankfurt’s gothic cathedral and the famous ‘Römer’ square. Thereafter, enjoy free time for your own discoveries. Then, transfer to your hotel. Accommodation in the Rhine/Main region.

Day 2: Excursion to Heidelberg
After breakfast, your coach will take you to Heidelberg, one of Germany’s most romantic towns. After your arrival, meet a local guide and undertake a sightseeing tour of its picturesque alleys and romantic squares. Thereafter, enjoy some free time for your lunch and/or your own pursuits. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to Heidelberg’s famous castle during a guided visit. Thereafter, return to your hotel. Accommodation in the Rhine/Main region.

Day 3: Boat Trip and Wine Tasting in the Rheingau Region
In the morning, your coach will take you to the Rhine where you will embark on a boat trip. After disembarkation, meet a local guide for a sightseeing tour of Rüdesheim, centre of the Rheingau wine production and famous for its 16th century alley ‘Drosselgasse’. After lunch, look forward to tasting some of Germany’s unique ‘Riesling’ wines. Thereafter, there will be time for our own pursuits. Then, return to your hotel. Accommodation in the Rhine/Main region.

Day 4: Departure
In the morning, there will be time for your own discoveries. Why not visit a museum, a gallery or have lunch in a typical apple wine inn and try a local “Äppler” before you leave?
