Day 1: Arrival in Heidelberg
After your arrival in Heidelberg, enjoy a guided walking tour of this beautiful city. The famous historic town centre has not changed much since Goethe’s visit in 1775. Day 2: Wetzlar
After breakfast continue your journey to Wetzlar. It was here where Goethe registered at the Superior Court of Justice in 1772 and where he met his unfortunate love Charlotte Buff. After an individual lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the historic town centre which takes you to Lotte‘s home, the “Lottehaus”, Wetzlar‘s Cathedral and other places of interest. Day 3: Eisenach
Start your day with a journey to Eisenach. Goethe used to visit this town and Wartburg Castle quite often as a statesman and a natural scientist. See the city gate, the church Nikolaikirche, the church Georgenkirche, the guildhall on market square, the old cemetery, the black well, historical mansions and many more things during a guided walking tour through the town. Day 4: Erfurt and Weimar
After breakfast undertake a guided tour of Erfurt. Then, continue to Weimar where Goethe lived from 1775 until his death. A local guide will show you Goethe’s summer house, his home and private museum, the Goethe and Schiller memorial, the historic town centre and many more interesting places.
